2026’s annual meeting of the parish of Graffham
The annual meeting of the parish of Graffham will be held on Wednesday 13 May in The Empire at 7pm after social drinks from 6.30pm.
Besides Graffham itself, its civil parish also includes parts of the hamlets of Selham and South Ambersham. Around 500 people call it home. Wander down its quaint main (and almost only) street and it may look as if nothing much has changed for centuries, with its picturesque houses cocooned by rolling fields and downland woods – but today it's a vibrant community, connected by the fastest fibre optic broadband and blessed with wonderful facilities. For a small settlement, there’s an awful lot going on! On these pages, you should be able to find everything you need to know about the village, what's happening locally and the parish council itself.

West Sussex County Council (WSCC) has rejected the application by Graffham Parish Council (GPC) for a traffic regulation order (TRO) that would have seen the current 30mph limit in the village centre cut to 20mph with “buffer zones” lowering the speed restriction on the approaches to the village.
Gillian Charlesworth was re-elected Chairman of Graffham Parish Council, with John Bracey as Deputy Chairman, at its annual general meeting on the evening of Wednesday 6 May, in the Rec Pavilion.
Providing allotments in the village is no longer on Graffham Parish Council’s agenda after two of the six residents who asked it to do so advised that they no longer wanted one, as their neighbour had offered them use of part of their garden to tend.
